Historically Birmingham was known as the city of 1000 Trades and whilst we may no longer be able to claim this title the Jewellery Quarter in the heart of Birmingham is still home to many makers, designers, artists, artisans, manufacturers, architects and crafts people. A walk along our streets means passing family businesses that have been here for generations and manufacturers that have been here for more than a century. Its a busy place with thriving on street jewellery retailers, the jewellery is made behind the shops in workshops and studios.

Twice a year we invite you see beyond the window displays and open our studios and workshops to the public. Whilst metal is our main trade we are also home to many creative crafts and remain a community of makers.
